The Pampered pet site

for the love of animals -- save a pet!

Hello guys welcome, welcome, welcome to the site that pampers pets.We love them all: dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, small animals, and birds. They are an enriching part of every pet owners life.I am called MissKitty because I am an avid cat lover...they are like my children. I live on a rural farm and I take in as many stray and unwanted animals as I can afford. I am very good to all of my pets, I give them the attention they so crave and the medical care they are in need of. I have them spayed and neutered, get their shots, give them worm meds. and flea and tick meds. It is very expensive when you have as many as I have, but I can't have children so I feel it is my responsibility to provide for God's most precious creatures. I currently have 3 dogs 4 cats, and 2 rabbits. They all seem healthy and happy. These are the pets I choose to keep as my own.I also take in unwanted animals from time to time to help them find a good home and to allow people who cant have pets have the opportunity to help support the strays financially.I am always very greatful for any assistance the public wishes to be.

WISCONSIN LAW ALLOWS HUNTERS TO KILL DOMESTIC CATS WHO DON'T HAVE A COLLAR!!! we need your help to keep our cats safe from the hunters unsportsmanship. CATS! Write to the Governor of Wisconsin and let him know you do not want cats to be prey to hunters. It would be good if you also wrote to your own state legislature to let them know your feelings before other states try to pass similar laws. please visit our link to the petition site and sign the petition dontshootthecat.com. Thank you for caring and saving lives...

Who is popular today!!!

at one time a cocker spaniel was a favored dog of americans, also the golden retriever, even the poodle.  Today the dogs with the most peculiar looks find themselves at the top of the ladder.  The Pug, a chineese dog that is derived from the pickegneese,is a very popular dog, he is the largest of the toy breed. You can find them in countless ads in magazines and on television, even in the movies and the sales have gone through the roof. in second we find the little mexican dog called the chiwhawha who is a very popular mascot for a major mexican chain restaraunt.  shisue is another very popular toy breed as well, it is also an oriental breed.

Other dogs that find themselves at the top these days include:  labrador retriever, wymereyiner, beagle, and a german wired hair retriever, which is the 2005 westminster Kennel clubs pick for best of show.

when choosing a pet for your child keep this in mind.  boys tend to be rough so they need an energetic strong or solid dog.  Such as the pug, the beagle, or a dalmation, a brittney spaniel.

Girls are more loving and gentle and could do well with a chiwhawha, a cavalier king charles spaniel, or a poodle.

When choosing a dog for your family it is important to as the following questions.

  1. what is the primary reason for getting a dog?  (companionship, watch/guard dog, working dog ie. keeping an eye on livestalk, service animal, etc.
  2. research different breeds to find out which breeds are best left to persons who dont have children, ratweiller, pit bull, and other menacing breeds.  dobermans and shephards will need to be judged be each dog. there is no breed norm, they have their own personality.
  3. some older dogs have a bad personality and should not be purchased for children, poodles, cockerspaniels, mostly it depends on the type of life the animal has had so far.  If it has been harmed by a child you can bet it will shy away from them or attack them.
  4. how much  energy does the dog have.  Will it need a large yard and much attention.
  5. try to match your personality and lifestyle to that of the dog.

add a pet to my site, tell us about your precious baby and we will share pet photos and stories with other animal lovers.

we accept photos of all pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, pigs, hamsters, birds, fish and an assortment of other pets.  we choose a new favorite pet once a month in each category, including most unusual pet.

Always search animal shelters and contact animal rescues before purchasing a new dog. Many shelters have pedigree dogs, by adopting an animal from the shelter you are saving a life. If you know of a shelter for pets or some other animal charity we would love to give you space on our site to advertise. please visit the links we provide to animal charities etc.

MY PRECIOUS ONE

long long ago I had a cat, his name was Middy and he was the last birthday present I ever got from my father before he died. Middy was my first cat and I loved him the world full and the sky full. He made me so happy and content. My father let me have the little stray kitten because he did'nt have the money to buy me a present. I must say all the money in the world could not replace the love I had for my father or for that little cat. Middy died at age 5 of feline leukemia, which was heartbreaking. I still think of him, I know he is with my father and that I will see them both again, my dad will care for Middy even better than I did.
